Barbara Van Dyck is passionate about studying the entanglements of politics of technology, science and innovation in defining agricultural presents and futures. After having worked at the University of Sussex and the Coventry Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience, she is currently research fellow at the Agroecology Lab at the Free University of Brussels ULB. She develops a profound critique of the way in which digital technology has imposed itself as ‘the’ way forward for agriculture in Europe, while hesitance and refusal of these technologies are seen as oriented to the past.
